Wilfred Zaha could make a move to Manchester United in January according to reports from England. The Ivory Coast International was frustrated in the summer as his quest to move to a bigger club did not yield any result.
The 26 year old is said to be on the radar of Manchester United who are willing to match his transfer fee. United boss Ole Gunnar Solsjaer is set to be given funds in January to strengthen the team after the departure of Alexis Sanchez on loan to Inter Milan this week.
Zaha is said to be viewed as the perfect replacement due to his knowledge of the league and consistency. The London born forward had played for the Red Devils during an unforgettable stint in 2014.
Zaha failed to impress David Moyes and was subsequently shipped back to Crystal Palace. He has developed into one of the best wide forwards in the Premier League since making the move.
It is understood that Zaha has been assured by Crystal Palace management that they won’t stand in his way in January. Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson had earlier in the month revealed that a number of clubs tried to sign the forward.
Everton were said to be close to sealing a late move before Palace pulled the plug from the transfer. Despite this, Zaha has been impressive this season and was a key player in the victory at Old Trafford last weekend.
The 26 year old assisted Dutch defender Patrick Van Anholt who scored the winning goal in extra time. From the looks of things a transfer storm is set to occur in January when the window opens.
